i a cheese cake really a cake??? even tho its a cheese CAKE you cook it in a pies pan and it has a pie like crust...so that begs the question...is a cheese cake really a cake some say its a cake cause though its not made with batter, it is still in the cake family for being able to stand without and help from sides of pans...i say screw you, its a damn pie...cause it can melt...eventually...what do you guys think...

You cook it in a springform pan, not a pie pan. It's a cake IMO... though technically it's considered to be a baked custard.
