				ITS HOME

my t/a is officially back from ttp, and is in my driveway. even with 2.73 we lit up the tires going 30. the best part was when we went to get gas, the guy at the station couldnt find where to fill it, so he goes up to the fender vent thing and starts looking around for the filler. priceless.
for now though, cant go above 40ish till i get new rubber, some minor dry rot has taken over. tires are ordered, after that its brakes and rear end gears/souping up. its a work in progress

Can't wait to see it on the road. You'll probably start running into all the basic safety type stuff like I did when I started running up the miles on the SS396. Tires, ignition, clutch, brakes, suspension, rear. Keep an eye on things as you start to drive it around.

Feather-light suspension, Konis just couldn't hold. I'm so glad I took a look inside your showroom doors.

Keep an eye on things as you start to drive it around. | tires i already ordered from costco (best price i found for bfg t/a's, mounted, balanced, installed and filled with nitrogen). ignition is all new, no clutch-auto with a quarter stick and manual/auto valve body, brakes coming (disc conversion back, front dont know yet). and at the nats i was talking to a couple running a 78 t/a, they had the stock rear suspension and everything and they were running low 11's/high 10's with only caltracs. (been doing it for 4 years now with a 496cu in engine) and my rear suspension is good and new for the most part, just gotta work on the front suspension now.

my interior needs some work though-its a lil rough around the edges so to speak
body-one bad fender, some minor paint/decal issues-eventually gonna make it look like an all out '77 instead of the frankenstein-'77-'80 it is now

its gonna be a good project

Excellent! Nice to see an actual working second gen while staring at my seemingly never to be done project.

I love those cars with killer engines and airplane gears in the rear. I had a 79 T/A w/ a 455 Oldsmobile and 2.42 gears. Talk about top end!
