there are none in my town, you gotta go a few towns over to find any.
i was trying to see if they had one guy listed but he isnt, maybe because he's dead now, lol.
Back when we were 17/18, me and all my friends used to hang out in a large local parking lot. One member of our grup a 15 o16 year old female, told us that she kept seeing the same car day after day with the guy in it. She'd walk from her house to town all the time and thats when she began noticing it. Then even at night, we'd see the car parked in an adjacent parking lot facing us, with the guy in it. Anytime we began driving to that direction he would flee, breaking numerous traffic laws to get away. Lucky for us, at that age me and my friends didnt obey traffic laws ourselves anyway. We'd chase him, throw change, etc at him while racing down the road and so forth, trying to scare him away and let him know we were on to him. At 100mph on local streets we finally realized to back off and from then on just chased him away, and we'd drive the girl home every night with a convoy of at leats 2 cars. Oh and as for plates on the car, they were bogus we eventually found out. Well after a few weeks, the girls sister heard what was going on and made us all go to the police. The cops would circle through every now and then but never came across him. He'd always manage to drive by or be there then leave before the cops showed when we called it in. The girl was pretty terrified by this point and cops couldnt help. Well one day i pulled into the parking lot during the day to talk to my friend who was collecting shopping carts. We then noticed the car drive down the main street in town and into the other lot. when i had just pulled in, I had noticed a cop writing tickets for people in handicapped spots so i tore ass back to where he was and pointed out the car. Within seconds, the guy saw me(he knew my car as well, black GTA) and took off, but other cops were in the area and managed to stop him back in the street. We watched as they took him from the car, searched the car, removed an 8" steak knife from under the front seats and a womens slip. He got cuffed and stuffed right there. Turns out he was a prior sex offender from a few towns over who had just been released from prison. Once bail for that was paid, he went home and the next week, they went to pick him up on criminal charges relating to our friend and more. He had cut and died his hair that night, possibly planning on something more drastic. Well, he got locked up and during that time waiting for the trial, he died of a heart attack in jail, thank god. A few of our friends, the girl included went to the funeral to make sure he was dead, so you could finally live her life peacefully. Its a messed up world.
couldnt find a complete article online, i have it at home, but heres part of one of the articles...

this is why you can't rely on Megan's Law, and other laws in other states, to keep your children safe. while it may be a real eye-opener to see just how many registered sex-offenders live in your town/area, the real eye-opener would be those that are still lurking or that have all of the warning signs but have yet to commit a crime or be caught committing one.
