Waves are usually only done by Jeep Wrangle/CJ owners ..... and motorcyclists.

Waves on anything other than a harley davidson/custom/chopper or kick @ss crotch rocket are
They are the only ones (harley guys really, but I'll give some latitiude to other riders) I ever remember see giving the wave for the longest time.

Then vette guys started doing it....now f-body guys? Heck, I had a guy in a Cummins Powered Dodge give me the wave when I was rolling down the road in my CTD? Its one thing if you stopped at a light or getting gas or at WaWa, but on the road leave the wave to the bikers......its theirs

a little history

I've been waving since 2004 with my car. If someone else enjoys an F-body just like I do, I like to give a peace sign or wave outthe window, but Slo86, your right, more then half never wave back, but i dont care, when they do, it does give a sense of a community

when i am in my camaro, the world waves. everything from '32 fords to '55 chevies to '70 amx to, yep, you guessed it, other camaro owners. firebird owners don't wave, they just hang their heads in shame that they didn't get a camaro instead.

If I'm in the Z and the car is reasonably close I'll throw a quick rev especially if my windows are up. When I'm on the bike I'll do the low wave, or fingers up.

If you do some poking around I'm sure you'll dig that info up. As for the Firebird being nowhere in Pontiac's sights; Pontiac saw what GM was building for the new f-body and was ashamed to put their name on it.

 | Hehehe, none taken XJ brother! To me, as long as a Jeep isn't lowered on 13" Daytons it's OK in my book. I have solace in the fact that my Jeep is really more street-oriented, and not . Of course, when Jeep guys see my Jeep, they usually have this look on their face.

i kinda laugh at the civics that ride by...the vette drivers are usually old guys so i dont bother with em...and its true the firebird is the top model of the fbody crowd beings that the firebird has always been more FLASHIER and the camaro was more UNDERSTATED.

last year I got a wave from a guy in a black LS1 camaro on Rt.206 in flanders, funny story I had my t-tops off and went to wave my right hand and ended up punching the T bar I never got to wave back.

Funny I should find this thread, just yesterday A guy in a 4th gen looked pewter with the single stripe in center and ground effects waved to me while cruising 47 in Glassboro. i felt like an ass cuz I was to busy eying the car and didnt notice the wave till it was to late. Upset me because I have been trying to keep the wave going and waving to all the camaro's. I don't believe it should just be left to the Harley Riders. When I was on my Harley I would wave to all riders as a sign of respect to all those who share the love of the hobby. So when I am in my Camaro I feel that even if it is someone who doesnt have all sorts of mods done, they still chose the camaro and I want to let them know they made the right choice. The girl who doesnt know squat about her car still is cruising in the camaro and not a mustang so good for her and let her know it - throw the wave. My car is a DD and I have slight mods and feel it is not necessary to start dumping tons of money into it to make it a racer(i have my 87cutlass to do that to) yet it is my 3rd Camaro so far, so you never quite know just how much of a fanatic that person is so - throw them a wave!!!
