Whats your budget? If you want some stuff that you can buy at wal-mart then do this

1.Zip car wash soap
2.Mother clay bar kit
3. Meguiars cleaner wax
4. Meguiars liquid gloss wax

Wash the car, leave the car wet, use the clay bar kit, make sure you use the detail spray as you clay as a lubricant. rinse the car off and dry. Then use a cleaner wax. If it hasnt been done in awhile and your not sure then do a second coat. Finally do the lquid gloss wax. Want some better stuff buy some zaino wax and polish. not expensive either. Maybe $15 a bottle for zaino i havent used it just seen pics of it and heard alot of good things

ZAINO isnt a wax, its a polish, and if the car is stored outside or driven in the rain, its not worth it as its not as durable a product as some others.

i use tropicare, got a big bucket that contained everything, and just re-order individual as i need, in the 7 years i have been driving i probably tried everything you can get from the local stores and this tropicare stuff is better than pretty much all of that.

im sure rich189 will post soon and name some more brands that he regards higher than tropicare, but im not going to post about any brands i havent put on my cars

what color is the car that will help with the choice of brands........

also always remember.......choice of aplicators and rags is as important as choice of wax's and polishes

I used Zaino on my old 93 Indy Pace Car which was my daily driver and always had good results and it lasted pretty long, even in winter. The new formula is much more durable but I haven't tried it yet. I've been using the Mequiars Hi-tech yellow wax #26 I think on my black SS396. It shines up great, but it doesn't hold up very long. It's been rained on a few times this year and it loses the shine very quickly after rain. Whatever you do, don't dry your car with a chamois or one of those absorber things, they actually will remove the wax that you're trying to build up. Dry it with a towel or wash cloth.

I have everything from the 15 dollar Zymol from Wal-Mart to the 150 dollar Concours Wax and love em. And definitely clay bar it first, then use a good polish, even something like the #7 show car glaze from Meguiars.

As mike said ill post up but product use is like an azzhole everyone has one so take everything anyone says with a grain of salt until you find something that you like. First off zaino if anything is more of a synthetic paint sealant. I would not consider it a polish because polish by definition is an abrasive product used to remove swirls and scratches and does nothing to protect the paint.

I've tried everything from store bought stuff to zymol solaris and here are my opinions for your car. If your looking for a full out show car shine im sure you have plenty of swirls for best results they need to be polished out by a professional unless you would like to invest in a porter cable polisher etc. Making your paint look perfect is almost like doing the paint job itself 80% of it is the prep before the wax rather then the waxing itself.

If your just looking for a good wax to make your car look better here are my opinions (based on the color being nbm) take them for what they are worth...

If the car is stored outside either use..
1. wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant
2. collinite #845

either of these 2 will make your car look great and they both last 3 months plus outside.

If your car is stored inside or you plan on waxing every month or 2 i would choose one of these. They do not last as long but will give your car a deeper look and make the flake pop more.

1. wolfgang fuzion estate glaze (expensive but worth it i put the look on par with zymol vintage but it does not last quite as long)
2. pinnacle sig. series 2 (should be about $40 per container)
3. if your on a tighter budget ive been happy with the results poorboys nattys red and dp max wax.

One thing I tried this year that seem to really help clean the car up was the 3M Imperial Hand Glaze. I used it on both the black 70 SS396 and the white 00 SS and it really cleaned them both up and made the wax job look a lot better.
