SOTP dyno=likes gains from ported TB

I just got a ported, polished and epoxed TB on the car and must say I think it really helped the car out. The car has a tune, but for what's done to it I think it was a little conservative. I never did find out what the A/F ratio was at WOT but I'm thinking it was a little on the rich side and hurting me. I think the TB helped lean out the car a little bit and I think I may have seen more than the typical 5 rwhp gain from the ported TB. I will be taking the car to the track when it opens back up to see if my MPH picks up at all.

The ported TB on the LS1 cars makes a definite SOTP difference. It might be bigger on the A4 cars with no little lag or hesitation. Mine is not epoxied but it was still an obvious difference. Not sure about the actual hp difference, but the change in the way the car drives makes it worth it.

If you don't mind me asking where did you get the porting and polishing done, or did you do it yourself? Its a mod that I've been thinking about for awhile. My plan modwise for the winter is LS6 intake, p+p throttle body, and pulleys. I figure the combo of these three shud boost the SOPT dyno. Hey op what suspension mods do you have done? Beeing thinking of a shock tower brace and sub frame connectors. Any recommendations?

Interesting, so is there an actual gain from a aftermarket tb? Where can u get your throttle body ported at? JS?

Beeing thinking of a shock tower brace and sub frame connectors. Any recommendations? | I picked it up of off LS1tech from a wrecked car in toms river. It was from an 00 car so we had to switch the shaft from my old TB to the ported one so that my throttle cable would let the butterfly close(this wasn't fun when all of a sudden the snow decided to start coming down really heavy and we were working on my car outside). For suspension, the strut tower brace is one of the only things my car doesn't have. I always thought that that was more for a car that was concerned about cornering really well(say a roadcoarse car?),but after thinking about it, it may help with even weight distribution towards the back of the car when you launch at the track(again idk). For suspension, definitely do subframe connectors, they made my car feel like a brick sh*thouse, also LCA's and relocation brackets are good too. Try and buy the package deals so you get better prices. I got my panhard bar and LCA's for like $160 shipped to my door. I will throw my car on the dyno later this year to see what I can get when the car is full bolt-ons.

SFC do help, as well and I can feel the difference with the STB as well, I also have LCA's. PHB and Torque arm too.

My car made 342/347 which its a crappy 98 and bolt ons only, no underdrive.
