				Camaro Reviews

Today at 6pm, GM lifted the ban on all Camaro reviews.
This is a clip from MT

		| Your patience, boys and girls, has been rewarded. Big-time. In fact, let's just cut open the award envelope right now. The Oscar for Best Fulfillment of Ponycar Hopes & Dreams goes to...Chevrolet [standing ovation, cheers, applause, whoops and hollering, delirious tears]. "You like me! You like me! You like me!" Yes, reborn 2010 Camaro, we do. An awful lot. (Sorry, but we're going to plant the kiss on Halle Berry anyway.)

....The new Camaro excels by almost every objective and subjective measure: design, power, handling, efficiency, comfort, convenience, safety, and, perhaps most important of all, accessibility to the Camaro faithful.
 |
MT knocked down a 13.0 @ 111mph. Apparently they swaped in a 2JZ.

I think I am more impressed with V6 model. That should run the mustang GT pretty close.
As for the V8, it should run faster trapping 111. They should also be 500 hp cars with full bolt ons which is ridiculous.

that ET is pretty bad for the amount of power it puts out. would have expected mid 12s out of it at least and what was that 2jz reference? I was going to say...what is it, a mk4 supra? massive trap speed and bad ET lol. If i bought one i would immediately get a huge exhaust for it, and modify some aftermarket headers to fit in there. wouldnt be a camaro without it

If the challenger is considered a boat, so is the camaro.

 | i think the challenger boat comments are mostly referred to its dimensions. I mean, 3800 pounds is not to far from the norm nowadays. i mean, considering the camaro has IRS and uses much better interior materials than the challenger, so it has alot working against it. I think the x-factor is the huge chassis its built on. But in any event, i hope it carries its weight well. I really look forward to getting my hands on a V6 and swapping in some SS suspension parts one of these days. That car really didn't strike a chord with me until very recently. It is having a HUGE impact on the automotive world. But, i still think the weight is what will keep it from being a serious competitor to cars like the 370z in terms of all out performance

 | Its overall size AND weight is what makes it a boat. Its over 8 inches longer then the Camaro, under a foot compared to the Mustang.
Challenger is bigger then a 4th gen.
Its big.
Camaro also had 50 more hp to move that 200lbs less when compared to the RT, the closest Challenger to the Camaro SS.
The Challenger that can compare to the SS in performance is the 40k SRT8.

The new M3 is 3700lbs.
The G37 is 3700lbs.

The Genny coupe and the Mustang are the lightest vehicles in its class.

 | Yeah my IROC was originally white and when i get a job that doesnt suck i plan on painting it white again because it looks awesome.

as for the 5th gen, i was j/w because the web is a horrible representation of color and detail so just because it might look bad on the web but doesnt mean it is all that bad in person.

And btw there is nothing wrong with white cars, i have owned three so far and my moms truck is white with black accents and still looks great after 10 years and 170k miles

One thing that is cool is the aftermarket support is already there, as far as the engine goes. Does anyone remember the ls1 head/cam packages costing $6000 and stuf like that? the ls3 already has decent heads and a ton of displacement. Just needs some bolt ons and a good cam. Should make high 400 or even 500rwhp with just those parts.
