correction. on 4th gens the hardtop and ttop got the same structure. all other generations they were cut into an existing hardtop.

ive owned one of all. i have to say i enjoy ttops immensely but theres nothing like pushing a button and letting the sun soak in. verts are only good for cruising anything else and youd need a more rigid structure

I didn't know the joys of a vert until I got my hands on one! Totally effortless! I don't think I've taken my T-Tops off my Formula in over a year cuz I'm too lazy. lol

I think T tops are cool, but I prefer the simplicity of hard tops. I wouldn't dismiss a car because of T tops, but I definitely wouldn't own a convertible.

You only cut the side bars out, so yea you are weakening the car, but I always figured the hard top had more under it.

ETA: think about it like this. all the weight between the front and rear wheels is pushing down on the floor, which in turn is trying to push the top of the front windshield towards the top of the rear hatch.

I've been through enough t-top and convertibles and I have no need for either any more. I hate the leaks and squeaks with t-tops and I don't care to have the sun beating on me while driving the car so I prefer a hard top. I don't even take the t-tops shades out of my SS. I get enough sun out on the golf course and in my boat.

			T-Tops hand down.
I only like T/A drop tops, especially Brian's (BlackBird) & Franks (Fozzi).

3rd & 4th gen cars need a B-Pillar, it just defines the shape of the car to me.
