i only had time to circle the block once today cause she had to go. i reved it up into higher rpms and when i let off the gas it made this noise that almost sounded like the belt was slipping. and the higher i rev and let of the gas the louder it gets. its really odd cause i havent heard anything of the sort.
the car is an early 90s Subaru legacy i think. its an auto and has AWD and a boxer4 under the hood.

bearings going bad in one of the accessories or a belt itself. Tuen the wheels all the way kinda hard and see if it happens. that will rule out or point to a PS pump. Make a video of it if you can at some point. Is this car a turbo? those bearings screech too when theyre going bad, and super LOUD too

Time to get her to buy American. That's the fix to the problem.

But seriously probably a bearing in an accessory is going. I had one sound like that on an explorer it was the AC compressor.
