1989 Trans Am for sale - SOLD
I don't have enough time to work on my trans am so it's up for sale.. i am the third owner, bought it from an ex coworker a few years ago with around 40-50k miles.. it has approx 84-85k miles on it. glass ttops, straight body, needs paint (good old gm clear coat) aerowing is cracking (have a replacement fiberglass spoiler from hawks if buyer wants) ttops drip during hard rain (right on the drivers left knee) drivers taillight has a 5-6 inch hairline crack int he middle of the lense(i have a nice taillight to replace it).. needs some interior work as i was in the process of converting the interior from grey to black. all the interior needs is black carpet, and headliner, shift boot (stock ones got a rip in it), shifter is missing c clip to hold the button in, steering wheel gets sticky when its hot out so I have a cover over it, sides of the console are seperating like alll the firebirds do (easily fixable), needs a new console lid. also, i will give the buyer the two sets of seats I have for it (the stock grey cloth- need reupholstered, and 4th gen leathers - drivers bolster has 'the rip' lol and drivers seat bottom has a rip), cloth roll up trunk shade is faded and looks navy/purpleish (can either redye or get a new one)
stuff i remember doing since ive owned it (im sure theres more):
- Replaced all grey cloth seats with power Black Leather Seats from a 95 z28
- Replaced Grey Door Panels/Armrests with Black Vinyl Door Panels/Armrests and trim
- Replaced all grey interior pieces with black plastics
- Rebuilt the Headlight Motors with kit from Top-Down Solutions
- Rebuilt the Hatch Motor with kit from Top-Down Solutions
- Converted all interior lights to LEDs
- Flowmaster 80 Series Muffler with 3.5' Slashcut Magnaflow Tips
- Clear side marker lights w/ white LEDs
- New Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)
- New Throttle Body Gaskets
- New Distributor Cap and Rotor
- New o2 Sensor

- New Fuel Rail O-Rings
- New Spark Plugs
- New Starter
- New Ignition Switch
- New Ignition Key Cylinder w/keys
- MSD 8.5mm Red Super Conductor Wires

- New Rear Transmission Mount
- New Sway Bar Links
- New Calipers up front
- New Delphi(GM) Radiator
- New Coolant Overflow tank w/a new cap

- 4th gen firebird radio
- Red LEDs in gauge cluster (look insane)
- LEDs throughout entire interior (kick panel lights, dome light, trunk light)
- New Black Headlight/Interior light dimmer Switches
- Replaced old grey seatbelts with all black
- eBay CAI with K&N filter element
I have a box of of parts which will pretty much take care of all of the cons ive listed above..I haven't looked at what I have for awhile, so I know theres more than this .. I will give the buyer a good deal on it if they want it.
