I don't know about the lost control theory. He aimed straight at the guardrail. Anyone who hits the median and panicks, jerks the wheel the other way and slides - he hit the guardrail straight on and launched.
Stuck throttle AND steering? Not likely.

So according to the news this morning it appears the guy driving had been arrested the night before and released about an hour before this happened. He was arrested in a parking lot with an underaged girl (not sure of the age of either) with a sealed container of alcohol and some weed. So stay tuned for more info.

According to the news report the police said there was no evidence he was under the influence at all which is why they let him go.

yea but who know what he did after they had let him. an hour or more is plenty time for him to start feeling the effects of booze, and even less time if he was smoking the weed
