:Rumor: New generation Evo will be Diesel/Hybrid?

I really love the Evo series, and really want an Evo 6 or Evo 8 ( though the later is more obtainable, and legal to boot) It certainly brought on a great battle between them and Scoobie's ( and put up a good fight with cosworth escorts, ST185 Celica's, and, IMO, influenced Chevy/Dodge to develop a turbo compact car for the American market)
But to me, this is like when they changed the Thunderbird form a 2 seater coupe, to a 5 seater sedan, completely changed it's whole purpose. What do you guys think about this?

Should be strange to to see, especially with the next sti going twin turbo 2.0. I wonder who if one brand is going to really take over this market.

I don't like diesel things.. but this should be interesting. I also hate electric vehicles.. probably wouldn't rock it unless it grew on me.
