1LE package will take some of the goodies from the ZL1 and put them on the SS
LT, SS, and ZL1 trims all get MyLink standard
All V8 cars get electronic power steering
1LE and dual-mode exhaust available on all manual transmission cars only.

I was thinking the same thing. That's really cool. The 2012 Grand Sport with RPO Z51, etc was similar.

I want to be realistic here when I say this, that's a bad package idea for the 1LE. Yes, this conversation will be spoken for as long as the Mustang vs. Camaro debates, but IMO, that should be the Z28 package, and if you want a slimmed down model (A/C delete), radio, get it with the 1LE package. Would only a handful of people buy the car with that package? Depends on what people see as a profit 25 years down the line. I understand it would cost moer to make the car have less, so that's why it'd be a seperate package, and charged differently, but please GM, don't drag the infamous delete RPO showroom race car through the Land Barge mud.

It's just like the Grand Sport Corvette, that was top-o-the line Corvette of the 60's (albait 5 were only made.....with a 6th destroyed) since Z06's were dealership race cars and second to the GS, and now you see what they did with it today....it's second to the Z06, way to bruise that name to me....

Anyway, I am glad they offered this, but I was hoping that the Z28 would slot between ZL1 and SS, with a 1LE package similar to the Laguna Seca option for the Boss 302.

Someone asked if the dual-mode exhaust adds any hp, and so far the answer is no.

For once Al, you and me are on the same page with what the packages should of been for. Z28 for the Boss 302, and 1LE for the Laguna Seca, it'd of been perfect. So unless they are going to produce the Z28 to take on the L.S. ( which is ass backwards IMO) I'm not sure whats going to contend with it.
