				Electrical Hardwiring ?

so im kind of in a pinch. Those of you that have a valentine1(early) know it used a phone cable to a power plug that goes into the cigarette lighter. My power plug is lost thus leaving me with a dead radar and 8 ft of phone cable. Does anyone know if i can splice the phone cable(4 smaller wires within) to work with a USB cable(hacked car charger) or can i just tap into the fusebox and hardwire it ? without ordering the hardwire kit from V1? because if i have to wait the time it takes to get the hardwire kit i may as well just get the power plug so i can still switch between cars.

Gotta be careful, cause the lighter adapter may cit it down from 12 volts.

I'd follow that link and hardwire it. Or get a new cigarette lighter adapter from radio shack and plug it in. http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=3806057
I have a V1. Worked nice. It's in the garage. I adjusted my driving style, no problems now.

Feather-light suspension, Konis just couldn't hold. I'm so glad I took a look inside your showroom doors.

Usb is 4 pins: 5v power, data pos, data neg, ground. You may be able to convert rj11 to usb if that is what you are asking.

Hardwired mine into the fusebox. Grounded one end, ran the other end to either the Gauge, Radio or Accessory fuse. Can't remember.

I just got the direct wire adapter from their website, and installed one in both my camaro and TBSS so I didnt have to use the cigarette adapter cable. https://store.valentine1.com/store/partsdept.asp
