Can you tell us a little more about what it does? Park works? Stuck in park? Does it do anything when put into D? Is reverse out too?

With used 4L60e's selling for $200-$300, he's probably better off just replacing the trans... especially since that option is probably the quickest in getting the car back on the road.
I think 1994 Trans Ams had a 4L60e but, from what I understand, not all year 4L60e models were created equally. At this point, figuring out compatibility (then hitting Craigslist) may be the better play.

I'll let the LT1 gurus here chime in here, but maybe they can tell you what year F-Body 4L60e transmissions are interchangeable with your 1994 T/A.
Are any of the non-FBody 4L60e models compatible with his LT1? 2wd trucks, caprice, etc...?

Additionally, I remember some chatter about '93 FBody autos being different than '94-'97... something about the electronics/plugs? Can't recall.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I can come set the record straight.

			Because 93 was a 4L60 no E. Kickdown cable ... basically a renamed 700R4.
If memory serves me right ....94-97 V8 4L60es are the same except that 94 (and 93 maybe) used one lockup solenoid vs 2 so it doesnt lock fully ... i think. So there would be one more pin in the later harnesses.

95 was special for some electrical reason

Difference with trucks, vs caprice vs fbody is the tq arm mount on the tailshaft and possibly the linkage arm.

1994 is a one year only version.Deals with PWM in 95+ I believe and no "e" in 1993.

I have a core '94 4L60E you can have if it helps any, I think 3rd/4th was slipping

To many scams on CL man, buy from someone on a the forum that's not going scum bag you. Unless you can drive the car and then take out the trans I wouldn't buy from CL. Just my 2 cents tho.

 | That trans you have is from a V6 car though, right? OP has a LT1... I thought the V6 to V8 ones were different?

Check to see what year & model car the tranny in this listing is out of: https://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/pts/6043014788.html
