Lol at the wipers in the first video.
Dude, that was great. Thanks for taking the time to post. I'll definitely be making every effort to attend next year. Just have to figure out how to manage towing my Camaro out there with my wife's Jeep.

awesome update ! great photos ( I will watch the videos and view the photobucket gallery later) but damn!! I AM SO JEALOUS. I would have loved to have been there and competing. Reminds me very closely of the USCA Optima events I did and I had an incredible time... so I know I would have enjoyed this one as well. Sounds like you had a blast. I am glad all of you guys went. I have to find a way to clear my schedule next year for this and ask favors at work so I can get off from work accordingly. I remember at the 2016 USCA event when i went for a ride as a passenger in Bill Hudsons black 2nd gen camaro (he ended up winning the autocross event in our class), but I was in the 5 point and holding the door arm rest so that I didn't flop over and interfere with his shifter or maneuvering. It was a hell of a thrill; so I could totally relate to your story. good stuff. the shop tour and cruise part sounds cool and adds to the fun part of the event, but getting to throw the car around cones and corners hopefully got ya hooked. I am hoping to do an autoX event maybe in october, maybe meadowlands if people are interested.

 | towing? why? street drive it.

side note.. man, they gotta to something different with that sticker next year. the angles and shapes on it don't fit at all with the body lines of ANY car and it is just doofy looking.

 | I debated on the drive vs trailer and decided on trailer for a few reasons.

- One dumb thing happens and I'm stuck with a 250+ mile tow
- I can pack way more stuff for the weekend
- If a friend needs a tow, I can assist.

The sticker was a bit odd as you would either have the UMI level or the racing number. After a 5 second debate, I just slapped it on.

 | Also to add for us f-body owners, it is very tiring. I'm old and fat now, don't have the stamina I used to.

Scott, is that your car? I thought I recall the second gen having rallye wheels on it.

are my eyes playing tricks on me or does this car have an aftermarket/modified bumper. The fog light area looks different. Maybe its just the angle and the light.

I didn't check to see what it was feeding but it was an interesting mod.

If that car actually has Penske shocks, that guy is the man. Those are super pricey.

I assume that's brake cooling. That is strano's car. Not a pile of power, under 500, just an ls1 with I think heads and cam. He out ran a lot of high dollar high horsepower cars. It's all about the driver in auto cross like this one. IIRC 315s all around. He's big on a square tire setup.
Umi posted more pics on their FB page today. It's seems BTK's car was invisible lol
