				Car Plans for 2025

I failed at my goal this year to drive the car more, because it was always raining, and then when we had our crazy drought was busy dealing with the medical issues of the baby.
Hopefully next year I can achieve that goal

Maybe, possibly, if the stars align... Finally install the 243 heads and LS6 cam I've had on a shelf for 6-7 years now.

I got to drive it all of 200 miles in 2024, need to sort out the clutch and crappy email tune I got from a "reputable tuner." In reality should just sell/part it and get a the C5Z I want.

I saw the recent news that Hot Rod magazine's DRAG WEEK 2025 is coming to the NorthEast this year in September, so that would be a long-shot of a goal. Highly unlikely, but I'm thinking about it. The time and money commitment is a big variable, but the experience would be awesome. Tracks are MIR, Numidia, Maple Grove, Cecil, and back to MIR.
Realistic Goals: get rear suspension beefed up and get some quicker 60 foot times, go to the GM nationals event in Carlisle this year, and try to get out to Maple Grove with the car for some 10 second slips.

Prob the same as last year but didn't get to it.
 TA
 - RMS replacement
 - Oil pan gasket
 - Replace entire steering system (pump, lines, rack, etc.)
 - Maybe do a rear gear change
 - Install UMI suspension stuff

 C8Z
 - Drive the balls off it
 - Hard maybe - look into a set of dedicated track wheels/tires

If I find a BRZ/FRS for the right price with a popped engine, consider some LS swap shenanigans but thats a long shot.

Plan is to drive my fun cars more this year and enjoy them. Clean them up, take them to shows and spend more time behind the wheel.
Still need to decide the ultimate fate of the Camaro. Do I continue to drive it and enjoy it in its current state, try to make it more of a cruiser and tone it down a bit, or just go bonkers and build a crazy high-hp motor for it.

I'd also really like to find someone to help me fix a few things on my Cadillac and help clean up the chrome.

C5 - Nothing, it just lives at ECS now
SQ5 - Do more welding on car with the battery still connected

Find some sort of toy to put put around in, or sell C5 and get a C6 Z

I had a moment of weakness at the end of 2024 and had to do some mods to the Bronco. I got the Ford Performance tune, got a Mishimoto intercooler and charge pipes, got some 37" tires and have some adjustable coilovers waiting to go on. I think the little 2.7 is pushing close to 400 hp now and still pulls down 18-21 mpg which isn't bad for a brick on wheels.

Well, thanks to circumstances beyond my control and a desire to be able to drive the car in the nice weather, it ain't happening this spring/summer.

My newly formed 2025 car plans include running and hiding whenever my nephew calls about his god forsaken volkswagen. If I have to work on it any more I'm going to find a way to launch myself into the sun.

only 1 thing i got done this winter was the super vic 2 install. oh well. forever 10.0 limited

So... My nephew's coming with his volkswagen again. Anyone know where I can find a rocket to launch myself into the sun with?
He spent an ungodly amount of money to have a shop install a supercharger in his R32 to get a whopping 290 WHP. It's a POS, and most everything is wrong with the install. I warned him not to do it, but here we are. Oh, and fun note: Thousands into the supercharger, meanwhile both front CV's have torn boots. Some brilliant buddy of his told him to re-boot them, so he ordered boots for $40. I explained that after driving on a CV with a torn boot for about a year, they're pretty much junk now and he needed new shafts. Guess what I'm installing this weekend?

This just fuels my disdain/hatred of european cars.

 | lmfao. those R32 parts are getting harder and harder to get OEM.

If you need anything my audi system can do a lot of VW stuff.

 | Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I'm hoping this will be the last wrenching session on this thing for a long time, I have my own projects to deal with. I'd like to finally install the LS6 heads I have, and while I was initially going to just run an LS6 cam, I'm considering something mildish but more, maybe a Cam Motion Titan 1 or something like that.
