NYPD is not there, its state, newtown and national gaurd was there. that was freaky to see the national gaurd roll in hot like that

This is freaking crazy. I heard Piere Robert on WMMR here in Philly break out in tears on the radio talking about this. When I was in HS back in the mid-late 90's it was the Bomb threats that were called in, now the kids have to worry about getting shot!! My daughter is in 1st grade.. So sad..

got word from the brother, he is fine, he was sent to danbury to have a bullet graze checked out, he was next to the princepal when she was shot

It seems it was only the younger brother. Older brother lives in nj and is still at home. Mother is dead, looks like he killed her first then went to the school. Which is even more ****ed up.

The events of today got to me worse than any of the tragedies I can recall in the past. I think it is the time of the year and the tender age of so many of the victims. We were working behind a grade school and almost half the kids had santa hats on running and playing at recess, was such a happy sight on a beautiful afternoon. Short time later heard the news on the radio, and just broke down in tears. Prayers sent for those who lost loved ones today. Im numb right now....

I'm with Scott and you guys - my kids are in 4th and 1st grade now, and I can't even comprehend how these parents must feel right now. Thoughts and prayers going out to all affected by this horrendous tragedy, and trashman, good to hear your brother is OK!
RIP to all the victims - I don't think we'll ever know or understand why he went to the school after killing his mom at home.

So so sad. My friend lives in the next town over and she said its mayhem over there. God bless all of the families who lost loved ones. I don't know how I would be able to handle this situation if it were my kid.

words just cant express. even if the shooter was still alive there would be no justice or equal punishment for what he has done.
reading what everyone is posting about their children makes me even more depressed about the situation, especially with the holidays around the corner. school is supposed to be a sanctuary and a safe haven for all children, and after today it will never be the same.

adam a mentally disabled person first killed his dad. then went to the school killed his mother and all the innocent people.
i just wonder what went though his mind to think that killing innocent kids was okay?
im a strong believer in single murder having a reason sometimes. i feel that sometimes someone can aggrevate you so much that you cant control yourself. but i ask again what went through his mind to kill those innocent kids.

thanks guys, and my brother is the school phsycologist at the high school but was there to meet with the SHES one to go over paper work

most of the tactical teams was the state SWAT and Nat. Gaurd, FBI and ATF were there as early reports said he drove from NJ and killed people in NJ before heading up. aslo the report of the NYPD being there, it was a officer whos nephew was in that school, he got premission from his cheif to leave asap with the patrol car
