Oh, you mean that when you play with your friends that you dont use pads and you use cheap shots.

But professionals use pads. Every play back yard tackle football? I dont remember putting on pads. And my little "football" legs? Yeah, ok.

So I guess that cheap shots with a stick, I guess thats how hockey is really played, right? Hell, you can play cheap in any back yard sport. Just because you are on skates doesnt make it better.

I played football...I quit not because I couldnt do it but because the teams ego's were so freaking big it was rediculous, every one thought they were the best..in all my years I played hockey the only reason I quit was because they wanted us to wear MORE pads....

You have to think you are the best. You dont get to be a starter with your skating skills in football.
You have a 6'2, 240lb guy come at full speed, trying to tackle you, and then tell me how "sissy" those pads are. Now, have the same dude try to tackle you in a back yard football game. Football is all about hitting. Its non-stop hitting. In hockey, the goal is to knock around a puck. In football, the ball carrier IS the puck.

bull **** the goal in hockey is to take the body... then you get the puck. there is just as much hittin in hockey as football. and harder..... you have the same 6'2'' 240lb guy barrelin across the ice and slamin you inbetween him and the boards. There not standin 3 feet from each other and holding back each other so they cant get the football.

the same thing for you.... grab a puck and skate up the boards i will hit you ONE time and you wont be gettin up right away. I have been playing hockey since i have been in 6th grade but i am sure no pro.

ive played football with my friends before and we did take some cheap shots just for the hell off it, but ill tell you what; a puck in the face or anywhere on your body hurts a **** load more then your tackle. so far ive gotten up from every single tackle they threw at me.

Hockey is one of the toughest sports to play. It's incredible how good of condition you have to be in just to skate around even without the hits. If you've never skated and tried to control a puck, then you can't even comment. Football is a joke compared to hockey. Why do you think guys only do 1-2 minute shifts at the most? You can't physically skate around longer than that without dropping off. Add the hits to the skating and most football guys would be puking in less than a minute. Back in the old days, football players used to play offense and defense. Now they are 1 dimensional because they all want to be heroes and it's all about 1 play whether they make the big hit or make the big touchdown catch or run!

OMG you're retarded lol. You have no clue. I'm a fan of both sports but to say the only object in hockey is to shoot a puck and nothing else is not only retarded but also extremely ignorant.
