Dunno if anyone corrected ya but V6 cars with the T5, 90 and later all V6 cars got the 3.42's and 305/5spd cars with the G92 option got the 3.42/3.45 rear. Also for a bit of trival bs the 4 banger cars came with 3.73's

My 98 V6 T5 car came with 3.23's stock! The V6 4th gens with the Y87 package had the 3.42's!
As far as this thread on 3rd gen. It is very funny! The best part is that I started my account on 3rdgen back in 2006 but never posted untill this morning!

My bad. I saw from 90 and later and for some reason assumed 1990-1999 cars! And the rear end is part of there drivetrain in a 4th gen also! Unlike you I like all the gens of F-bodies and therefore care to learn about all of them!
