				"Pinks" on Speed Channel

ok, so i just saw a few minutes of the dumbest things since the slow and the bi-curious.
the idea of this show pinks is that you race, if you lose 2 out of 3 you lose your car.
first problem is that the ass clowns from scandalous street racing are involved. i have their video, what a fake POS that turned out to be.
they have some guy act as a negotiator for teh race. when did this ever happen at a race track or street race?
then the decide on motor vs nitrous and the guy who is supposed to run on motor doesn't have to unhook his bottle. WTF???
one guy gets spotted 3 cars and they both jump the hit. then the host smacker says "this isn't a street race". ummm, then why are you negotiating the hit, the bottles, the tires, and a spot?
the ads made it sound like it was going to be a battle of muscle cars of some sort. i figured it woudl all be staged, now i know it is. cause there is no way anyone who took any pride at all in their car would deal with any of this **** for a race.[/rant]
at least they were in 4th gens.

the commercial looked really cool. it looked like a total set up, but it looked like it could be a fun show with some old school muscle cars going at it. i don't watch a lot of tv, especailly the speed channel cause it is all nascar.
seems like they don't have anyone around who knows what racing is anymore.

I think the concept for the show is good but that host has to get outta there. Hes a total dickbag. "THIS ISNT STREET RACING!" so why is the guy flagging? Shouldn't they run off a tree so nobody can jump? I think its pretty real, the look on that TA guys face when he got beat was almost as if he was about to cry. I think they need to have more even match-ups. A fairly stock appearing TA on nitrous vs a gutted race car on even more nitrous?

That show sucked. Completely staged, fake as hell, and I bet the dude got his car back afterwards too. If he even really gave it up.

Inside scoop on the show from the FullThrottleV6 Admin, Epic (stand-up guy):

		| Lemme give a little bit of a background since I am friends with all of the parties that were involved with the episode. This didn't happen in Illinois - it happened in Iowa back in October.
The green LT1 is the Straightline Performance shop owner's car (Tony goes by jucin, I was at his shop a few weeks ago dynoing). He is from the southside and runs chicagohp.com which I admin. As for the black formula...well, that would be Bird of Prey's NHRA Formula (moderator on our board), driven by Chitown Racing's shop owner (Dustin goes by ponch, they installed my converter). Ponch is from the northside..he owns the board chitownracing.com which I admin.

The car was not lost, it was a gimmick..here's why. Another car was supposed to be in place of the Formula but the car wasn't ready in time so they ended up using BoP's car (actually decided the night before). The spots were pretty necessary considering the fact that the LT1 is a mid-10sec car on the gun.

This show could be so much better, but the host is a douche and doesn't know a thing, pretty amateur filming scheme of things, and the flow of the show is lacking. I'll give it this much though - it's the best 'reality' show for track people. Too bad the future episodes are going to bomb.

I had the original promo on DVD a few months back before this aired.. I can't believe they didn't fix the "v28" when showing Tony's LT1. What a joke.
