Sammy Hagar
Chad Smith
Mike Anthony
Joe Satriani

I hope they tour the US.
"Along with bassist pal Michael Anthony (formerly of Van Halen) and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, they've formed Chickenfoot. Satriani swears that's not really going to be their name--but otherwise, the project is nearing completion, he said.
"Sammy and I will go in the studio and finish the record in December, we'll get it mixed in January, it'll be out by April, and come midsummer, we'll go on tour."

Satriani said he's looking forward to revisiting his roots on the project. "It's a chance to expand what I do, but at the same time, kind of go to the kind of music I used to write before my solo career really took off. Basically, I always saw myself as a guitar player that stood behind the lead vocalist."

Of course, the lead vocalist also happens to be a pretty decent guitarist

"Yes he is," said Satriani. "And I'm trying to get him to put his guitar on. Sammy really just wants to be the singer--but I'll get him to pick up his guitar."

Sounds pretty good, thanks for the link Scott!!! I'm a fan of Satch myself, I've got all of his older CDs (up to The Extremist). Haven't had the time to catch up on his new stuff.
