$50k winner on super bowl bet
Saw this in another thread.
This guy bet $1000 that the first score would be a Giants safety and he won $50,000.
Makes me think two things:
1.) Must be rich as hell to put $1000 on a stupid prop like that
2.) 50:1 odds on a specific team scoring in such a rare fashion is pretty terrible

Yea, it is surprising that a safety as the first score would only have 50:1 odds. Some quick searching on NFL.com shows that was only the 6th ever safety in a Superbowl.
Now now Bill - no need to get your panties in a bunch

Yeah, I saw that while scrolling through my sports blog this morning and had to post it.
I wonder how he rest of that guy's luck went--if he lost 100k last night or if the gambling gods were shining down on him all game?

Sounds like someone has a gambling problem. Most I've ever bet was $10, guess I'm not a baller

Would have thought the odds would be more like 500:1 for a play like that...
