since when stock cars need roll bars? i was under the impression that if ur car was stock and was that fast u dont need roll bars and all that crap...
um..interesting, if the times are correcnt and he is all stock that would make him quicker then Mclaren and an Enzo, which would make the vette the fastest? um...too bad he had DRs

the rules are trap speed and et related, doesn't matter what you are driving. at 11.499 or quicker or a trap speed of 135(or is it 145) you need safety equipment.

I wish I could find my NHRA rule book.....if you look in the rules for the street classes there is a clause that if you have an UNMODIFIED car that can run those times from the factory a roll bar and harness is suggested but not required. And that if you modify the car in any way (Drag radials? I don't know ) then you must tech under the regular NHRA rules. My book is from 2004 so it may have changed but it was definately in there.

i am pretty sure you are supposed to have a DS loop if you are going quicker than 13.0. i know whenever you are on slicks you are required to have a DS loop.
batman, i thought the NHRA was supposed to do away with that clause when they bumped down all the time required for safety equipment. i know it was rumored to be disappearing, not sure if it actually happened though.
