KA-BOOM
Thats what heard tonight when I "tried to" launch off the line @ atco. I blew up the rear.
Looks like it was a bad night for alot of cars, I wasn't the only F-body needed a tow home tonight. Cars were breaking left and right tonight.
Good excuse to put a good rear package now, glad the season is over.

Was that your Firehawk I saw parked out in the lot on the way in around 7?
Was talking to another guy with the Midnight Blue SS that smoked his rear on the line too. Dude was from up around the Bristol area... good thing his buddy has a flatbed, Id hate to see that tow bill!

make sure you buy something that can take the abuse you plan on dishing out or you'll be buying another one further on down the road! 9inch-40 spline-full spool and your all set to go!

these things have a tendency of going at the end of the season.. cooler weather + tired parts is usually a recipe for disaster.. after september i think the amount of down time nearly doubles at every track

Racing isn't cheap! That sucks, but at least you have the off season for the down time. I guess we know what will be on your xmas wish list!

Now the big question which setup.
I would like a 9 inch but no ABS with it.
Which rear?
Moser 12 - I hear its a hit or miss with them
Strange Dana S60 - Not impressed with the feedback on them on LS1tech.
Any feed back which I should look into?
What ever I go with it looks like its going to run $$$$$ with t-arm and LCA's and while its up upgrade the transmisson and driveshaft.

i woudl go 12bolt over a 9in. both have equal strength and cost about the same, but the 12bolt has less internal resistance, more power left to reach the wheels.
strange makes 12bolts for f-bodies http://www.strangeengineering.net/catalog/index.html

then the track cooled down at the end of the night with all the delays and nearly every car was just spinnin' tires at the line.....
