Vibration/noise after chassis mount torq arm install

put front on ramps, jacked up rear and made level. i used a magnetic angle finder and set it to -2 degrees

im thinking that the vibration is caused from it being bolted soild to the chassis, as opposed to being in that rubber mount on the side of the trans. (noise/vibration similar to a urethane trans mount) What do yall think?

EDIT: oops i meant to post this in the chassis/suspension section really, but it does bolt to the rear so it could go either way i guess lol.

take some angle out of it... try starting at 0 driveshaft / pinion angle then add as necessary.

Check the bolts connecting to the rear also they are known to come loose so maybe in your weakness you didnt tighten them enough! hehe!

Is it a rod ended front mount or poly? If it is rod ended get used to it, it is gonna make some noise.

when i installed mine, it actually made the car feel a lot better and more solid, but then again i like the feeling of the road, and it was so long ago, i dont remember if i got any increase in vibration but i dont think so. I even have the spherical rod end mount and nothing out of the ordinary or noisy grabbed my attantion. Plus i really liked how with the chassis mount and in a M6 car, you dont feel the shifter going up and down everytime you hit the gas.

I noticed no extra vibration with mine, but my car was a rattle trap to begin with.

Maybe you knocked a weight off the driveshaft or overtorqued the U-joints?

make sure the rear is centered properly under the car as well. only noises poly ever really makes are related to bind, and there shouldn't be any if the rear is square in the car

you wold be surprised how far off center and out of square most 3rd and 4th gens are from the factory. changes to ride height, weight, and even common wear from driving the car can easily get things moving around under the back of the car.

im at -2* now and it seems alot quieter than before, especially under acceleration. i believe its the driveshaft; its a steel one out of a 3rd gen lol and she might be off balance- at least thats what im thinking. up around 75-80mph i really noticed the vibration, consistent with the speed of the car. Also, the low speed vibration is consistent with the sound of the engine, like when im in a higher gear/lower RPM, kinda like when its chugging a lil. im getting a stock aluminum DS in a week or so with my transmission, so i will post on here after they are installed!
