Well Warminster was no different than the rest of the northeast today, under water. But the SCCA is just like the mail, they don't stop for anything. Turnout was light as expected, probably 100 cars or so. I counted only two f-bodies including me, one Z06, one Baracudda (not a typo, probably like a 68), a whole bunch of suburu's, evo's, miata's, 1 lotus elise, and collection of honda. Great Save 9 was there taking a few photos, he must be sick in the head.
Wet does not begin to describe the conditions, even in full rain gear you were soaked in like an hour. I raced on my street tires (Goodyear F1-D3's) and they performed like a champ. Sadly, they were not my downfall, I was my own worst enemy. Make note to self, learn to read the pointer cones correctly when entering a slolum...
Overall a good time, wet, cold, but racing was fun and those were probably the worst conditions you could race under (barring snow and ice) and it was still fast, still fun.....
Attached is a zip file containing a PDF of the course as best I can remember, for anyone who cares to give a look. The site is an old airstrip, so its a down and back kind of arrangement. The starting line was at the bottom
Most people were hovering around 63-73 seconds with the lotus setting the pace with an incredible 57.something, which is sick given the conditions.
When the scores are up....I'll post the link. Nothing earth shattering on my end, but you at least get to see what the different cars are capable of.
