We have a lot to report from the land of the NJFBOA.
First off, we are growing again. It looks like the sudden break in the weather a few weeks ago has brought all the owners, friends, and fans of the F-Body out of the winter doldrums. We are now up to 1394 registered members on the club site as of the writing of this newsletter.
In club meet news, the April meet was far from our largest get together ever, but still a good time. The small crowd at Boston’s Gourmet included several new faces, good food, and some good conversation as always. We definitely expect a bigger crowd to turn out for the next central meet in July when we will be making the return trip to Duke Island Park for some barbeque and fun.
The next meet we have coming up is the May Monthly Meet in South Jersey. We will be headed back to our favorite southern meeting spot, The Texas Roadhouse in Millville, on Saturday, May 26th. We are expecting a large crowd to attend with lots of members and guests from other local clubs. To see details and the list of who is planning to attend check out the May Meet thread in the lounge by clicking this link:

We are also expecting to get our next club fundraiser kicked off at the May Meet. We will finally have the long awaited club vinyl for sale. We are not entirely sure if we will have actual pieces at the meet to sell, but we should at least have samples for everyone to see. We have designs for both a club windshield banner (URL and club title) and a smaller hatch sticker (official club logo and URL). Both will be available in a variety of colors and we will be able to special order other sizes and specialty colors for both designs.
The biggest news in all of NJFBOA land is that we have decided it is time for the club to step up our level of responsibility and visibility in the legal and political worlds. We have officially registered with SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketers Association) and SAN (SEMA Action Network). The NJFBOA will now be on the front lines in representing not only F-Body owners, but all automotive enthusiasts in helping to fight unfair laws and legislation that seek to limit our rights as owners. As soon as we receive confirmation of our registration we will be adding additional information to the club website and starting a new forum for the discussion of the government actions that affect us.
There will be some changes in a few club policies as a result of this new relationship with SEMA. All changes will be announced in the next newsletter and posted for discussion on the club site.
Plans are moving forward smoothly for our third anniversary meet, the 2007 East Coast F-Body Nationals. With discussion and promotion on many regional and national F-Body sites as well as general discussion forums, we expect to see a great turnout for this year’s East Coast Nats. There will be several big announcements coming in the next few weeks regarding sponsorship, awards, places to stay, and activities. For full details and discussion of planning for the 2007 East Coast F-Body Nationals, please visit the East Coast Nats forum on the club site by following this link:

Please spread the word about the East Coast Nats on the forums and be sure to invite your friends to attend. The Nats, like all club meets, are open to all owners, friends, and fans of the F-Body, not just limited to club members.
Thank you all for your continued support of the NJFBOA. We are working on some great things for the club and we look forward to your suggestions and feedback.
