Island was the first and ONLY track I was able to pull a tire off the ground..... it hooks pretty damn good for me!

i don't understand hwo some people bag on one tracks starting line over another. any good track is going to have the same problem when the lanes are full of streeters or it is a 90+ degrees with blazing sun.
i have been to etown, atco, maple grove, cecil county, MIR, and delmar on days that hooked great and days the lanes were trash. it just happens.

im just a lil biased against islands 1000' mark...
but seriously, I do like the right side better than the left. That transition from concrete to asphalt on the left lane kept messing me up because i would be making my 1-2 shift at that exact point.

the funny thing is, if you walk the track, the concrete pad ends at the same exact spot in both lanes..strange.

lol, yeah, for some reason i was doing better in the right on the friday i went, that night i was in the left once and second gear shift almost launched my car in the air. at the BBQ even the guys at the line stopped me and told me about my 1-2 shift at that exact spot and suggested i try to shift early, too bad i didnt get to try much before my car came apart lol.
