can i borrow someones HEI weights?

I have embarked on a challenge to reproduce the factory HEI weights since you can’t buy them anywhere except with the GMPP shaft kit for $100. The aftermarket weights sold with the recurve kits do not have the same shape nor do they weigh in anywhere close to the factory parts. I have access to a digital scale, the laser, and most importantly the flatbed scanner in order to get an accurate profile off of the weight. I would like to get my hands on a set of GM weights (just to borrow for a short time and then return) for this purpose. Preferably I’d like to get a 375 center plate and 141 weights (some refer to a 375/41 combo) to compare. As an example, someone loaned me a set of 105 weights. They come in at 14.95 grams whereas the “no-name” brand aftermarket ones are 11.25 grams.
