If they are talking about wheel spacers (adapters). You dont need adapters if you are going to use your stock wheels or wheels made for a 3rd gen (min 16" wheels). Your wheels will slightly move outward about a 1/4". I did it on my car and I got it from www.bigbrakeupgrade.com and came as a complete assembled kit. Very well put together kit.

are you sure you know what your getting yourself into?
You have to cut off the stock mounting ears from the spindle, drill out and tap 2 of the dust shield mounting holes, bolt an adapter bracket to these holes, then turn down the factory rotor into a hub to install the ls1 rotor onto, you need to install longer wheel studs as well.

You can get a kit from bigbrakeupgrade.com that comes fully assembled. Or you can buy the modified spindles, custom brakets, and hubs and use your own calipers and rotors.

I would go the 1LE route before I would go through all that to get LS1 brakes on my 3rd gen.

The pistons in the LS1 calipers are slightly bigger than the pistons in the 1LE calipers from a third gen.

i wouldn't
but then again i would go c5, not ls1. No problem with the ls1 setup, but if you have larger wheels, might as well just go with the c5.
the 1le requires almost as much work, just no rotor mod.

i got everything figured out, started ripping apart the front end today, you know for a car that sat for 13 years the bolts sure came off easy. will have pics up later.

You'll be amazed at the improvement. Just upgrading to 1LE brakes made a huge difference on mine, worth the trouble big time.

ok i think i got one more ?, i got the caly brakets made Hardcore ( Paul ) is making the spindles work for me, so the ? i have is with the hubs i cut the rotor part off from the hub and i have the hub with the sides on ill supple a pic.
now as you can see the sides on still on and those little taps are grided down, when i was doing my research alot of the custom hubs the sides where gone. now will what i have work without doing anything else or do i need to get the sides cut off.

You'll want to have a machine shop finish the hubs, so they end up circular and balanced.
