I can run a Lightning @180+ mph during an open road race or run at other road courses, but I can not @ NJMP where it will out handle/run 80% of the other cars?
its not our rule.....

Stupid rule. My truck is very very far from a stock Lightning and is setup specifically to RR.

It's true that some of the Lightnings are track worthy (several have run in the One Lap of America competitions), however, my guess is that NJMSP, like many other tracks, have insurance limitations that are established by their carriers. Insurance companies aren't interested in much beyond their own liability and tend to make broad generalizations to cover themselves.

It is an insurance issue. There are events that are run by Lightning and TBSS clubs, perhaps one of them can offer you the opportunity you are seeking. Since we are running this event through another company, we are not able to speak to every insurance issue or split hairs to decide what does or doesn't qualify when it comes to allowing trucks.

I understand. I just never had, nor heard of a problem running the Lightnings at any tracks before. The TBSS I have heard of a fewtracks not allowing them.
I would bring the GTA, but it is not ready nor will it be for a while.
