projector headlight question.

i have been looking to get better lighting out of my 98 durango... i love the look and performance of projectors. only thing is i do not like the headlights they make for my truck with projectors. i wanted to retro fit my own. i wanted to put 2 on each headlight bezel. what sucks is my healights are angled and will be hard to make it look good while having them point straight. i could get some lexan and heat it and form it the way i need it but thats a pita.

but the projector question i have is, should i get bi xenon or just xenon projectors? i will be getting 6000k hids for them. i figure with 2 projectors i wont have to worry about having high beams...

thats where im at now. its a fog light off a 2000 vette.

im just testing fitment and stuff but this will most likely be my foglight if i find another one haha.

you want to use fog lights as headlights? they make "universal" headlights you know. would make more sense imo.

i would not plan on driving with foglights as your low beam and i would personally not build headlights that didn't have a highbeam. also inspections won't fly. just food for thought.

I agree. Don't be a cheap idiot, use actual headlights. Not only for your saftey, but for others that are on and off the road.

this has the potential, of direct exhaust injection, or the nitrous in the valve cover, or the sand in the throttle body, or the water to flush the oil..............this can be an epic thread

projector headlight > corvette fog light

also, i think that lens is better than a clear because, like he said, it hides imperfections. i don't see how a clear lens would be aesthetically pleasing to ones eye.

How do you intend to switch between low and high beam? High and low both are required by law and being able to see further down a dark highway is always a good idea.

I'd make sure that the bulbs/lighting elements you will be using are for headlights and not fog lights. Certain manufacturers (Sylvania in particular) design fog light bulbs etc for only part time use- not for use as driving lights. They can burn out pretty quickly.
