...anyone in it? Or know someone who is in it?

I had applied for it several months ago and just got a letter saying i was accepted to take the aptitude test. I was just wondering if anyone knew someone who might be able to help give me an edge in because i hear its not very easy to get into. Any help would be great! Thank you

i cant speak for operators, but for pipefitters, the aptitude test was a joke. its just a formality. the hard part of getting in was knowing someone/being related to someone. operators might be different in that you may not have to be related/get sponsored. i do know, however, there are different levels of operators. probably dictated by either aptitude, skill, but definitely experience. be prepared for upper high school level math and reading comprehension.

I took the aptitude test once at vocational schoo, (polytech behind hunterdon central high school) and it was easy. But when i visited the Operating engineers training center they said only the top few test scores on the aptitude test get in, something like top 10 out of 100 people who take the test
