Numidia Track day 6/20 - All clubs welcome!
Due to a scheduling conflict the event is going to be rescheduled, no date yet. But Bob Dimino is going to make this event "special"!
I'll keep you posted.

hey batman/pampers....i read in that thread that depending on turnout you would like to try a gamblers style race...... how about something like a battle of the clubs, all you need is a sticker from the club you are representing, and as you go through rounds whoever has the most members make it the furthest gets a little bragging rights

Things are actually changing a little bit (for the better) as we speak so we'll get an update up soon, looks like a gamblers race is most likely going to happen.

Mike,
I think right now we are going to have a mix of clubs from racers, to cruisers to show cars showing up. This isn't just F-bodies. There is a local vette club, dream cars has a good mix, there is a group of guys with flatheads/leadsleds, and a club (keystone) that could show up with anything from antiques to Supercharged vipers, i know a few of the guys from the 422 motor sports group and they have a fairly large Mustang base as well, some of them will probably come up and play. But there should be a real core of serious hardcore racers as well. So for this day I really want to get people together and promote their clubs, websites and events. And I'm not sure how balanced the racing would be or even how to attempt to team them up if 5-6 different clubs show up.
I haven''t talked to Kazman or N2Odave, but 97TransAm and I are also going to be willing to work with any first time racers so they get their feet wet without feeling intimidated.
I think the gamblers race will be fun. We do something not to exspensive, like $30 ( 1/2 to the racers/1/2 to the track ). so if we get 20 cars that a $300 prize fund, who knows how many people will show.

Thanks. That's what I thought. I won't be able to make this one unless it rains in Reading and is sunny in Numidia.

I'll get work on that right away!
Did your season start yet? I've decided to run the stock block this year so I'm not doing points. I'm hoping the car will run 12.0s so I'll run some footbreake events.

John, yea points already started at Raceway. Done 2 races already. I'm #12 and not a happy boy. Maple starts the 11th of next month. Off topic I'm having major issues with the mustang. I'm .020 on the practice tree but .080 in live racing. Taking this weekend off and plan to hit a test and tune to put the stang on a pro .500 tree. At this point my guess is that the stang is way late on the tree. If that proves to be true (pro .500 light will tell) I will be racing in the formula. I chased my tail in the mustang last year and don't plan to repete. I ain't going to be a Div 1 champ in a .080 car. Were talking reaction time here.

Leaving off the top bulb was discussed last winter. I may revisit the topic.
