choke artists

This is a big FU to both the Devils and the Rangers for BLOWING their game 7 chances.

Devils were up 3-2 going into the 3rd period and pride themselves on holding onto leads with tough Defense. Gave up 2 goals and lose 4-3 YOU SUCK.

Rangers were up 3-1 and lose 3 straight games getting abused left and right. YOU SUCK.

way to represent the Tri-state area bunch of has beens.

That really sucks what happened to the Devils tonight. They are my third favorite team, and I sort of wanted them to win. I didn't like seeing them lose though. Especially like the way it went down tonight. This night really will live in infamy for the Devils for many years to come. Then again, I don't think it matters much who wins in the east at this point. I am by no means a Bruins fan, but I think they are going for the cup this season with the way they've been playing. I hope I am wrong.

I am happy that Pittsburgh and Detroit are still in it. Don't worry Devils fans, Boston is sure to slaughter Carolina next round. I hope Pittsburgh slaughters Washington and I especially hope Detroit slaughters Anaheim.

No offense Philly fans, but I really enjoyed seeing Pittsburgh beat Philly in the playoffs two seasons in a row. That was an ugly series.

Anyone got any predictions for who will go for the cup?

I think either Boston vs Detroit or Boston vs Vancouver. I was right about last season's cup prediction, lets see if lightning strikes twice.

Is the season over now?
It was near 90 yesterday, they should automaticly end hockey season once temps get above 85.

Anybody who watched the end of the season knew the Flyers, Devils and Rangers were all playing poorly and had no chance of moving on. Boston still wasn't playing all that great either. Wash, Carolina and Pitt were on a roll. I'm still surprised the Devils collapsed like that at the end of the 3rd period of game 7.

I think the Devils got too cocky with their lead and those last 2 goals were what they got for slacking off

I've been rather silent this season on the Devils play, mostly because they fixed many of the mistakes of last year. This year however, the major mistake they've been making all year long, came back and bit em...

They don't watch the back post.

I'll save the rant and just say that despite the Devils loss, I thought game 7 absolutely rocked. End to end action that is expected of playoff hockey was there, with back and forth scoring, near misses and good hits.

While the Devils dont go on - and sure I thought they really had a chance - I really enjoyed the series with a game 7 nail biter. You can't ask for better.
