need front suspension help!

ok so i picked up some z28 shocks for my sisters camaro this weekend and im installing them today. i have the beat old shocks out and new shock in place putting it back together and the damn lower ball joint shaft keeps spinning when i try to put the castle nut on.it goes on a few threads and starts spinning. anything i can do to get it to go completely on? any and all tips will greatly help.

i know with 3rd gens i usly put the jack underneath the ball joint, jack it up and go from there, some times it works. don't know if that helps at all.

when the shaft spins it usually means you're gonna have to replace the ball joint, mine did the same thing

yea with the ball joints its wise to change it when it does that but if u want to hold off on it you either put pressure on the ball joint or the control arm

yea my sister is kinda odd when it comes to spending money on her car so i made it work for now.
