I used to work at a print shop where we used 3M spray glue to glue paper together to drag it thru the web press. At about the same time I had a 1985 Monte Carlo SS with the same problem you have. I was able to peal the head liner down enough to scrape some of the dried up glue out from in between the material and the foam board. a couple shots of spray glue and a credit card to smooth it out was able to stick it back up, a few months later it came back down again. I just did this every few months because it was better than seeing staples. The only way to do it right is to have it redone. JC Whittney sells kits but it looks painful

Their pretty much a PITA to fix yourself and most often don't last. Take it to a shop and they will recover it for about $100. maybe a few bucks cheaper if you take it out yourself. I use a place called Wilson's near Oxford Valley mall in PA. They do nice work, I had the headliner and visors redone for $125 a few years back.

Maybe get a syringe filled with glue and shoot it up underneath?

If your going to shop around for prices to get it redone try Classic Auto Upholstery 416 Island Rd Columbus, NJ 08022 (609) 324-7800. I've sent a few friends over there as well as Cadillac customers and he has done really nice work every time. He used to have a shop in Burlington Twp but now he works out of his garage.

u had the smae problem on my car. someone on here recomended this.put a small hole in the part that sags and take 3M headliner adhesive with a little straw thing in the nozzle and spray it around and press it back on. its hard to prevent wrinkles but it worked well for me

thats exactly what i was going to suggest except for the love of god dont use 3m. 3m loses its hold after awhile especially if your car sits in the sun all day.

problem solved. you can order a can of that off summit for like 6 bucks

Best bet is have someone help you. Even tho its a small headliner(or are you a hardtop?) The someone else is to streach it out.

Yea i bet, that 100 bucks is going to the next round of mods though. Not overly concerned w/ the interior, the sagging is getting annoying though.
