more seat belt issues....

well my camaro seat belts are now broken. (1986 Camaro) I dont think the dealership will honor the old recall so I found these on ebay. Will these work as a replacement?

The dealership HAS to honor the recall if yours have never been replaced. It's a safety issue and they are obligated to do so. There is a thread on here from several months back about this same issue.

You will likely have to twist their arm, but they should cover it.

That being said - 4th gen front belts work in 3rd gens, and would be my choice to replace stock 3rd gen belts.

yea I might give the dealership just to check but they seem to give most the run around. Yea I read on here about the 4th gen seat belts working which is how I found these online. The guy says they will replace the 4th gen belts.

The dealership should honor the recall but it will be a PITA to get it done. The program we use at the dealership to check recall/warranty eligibility only goes back to 1996. I've done recalls on older 80's 90's cars and my boss had a difficult time dealing with GM to get the recall done for the customer.
