Few questions about local tracks...
I use to race my LT1 alot back in the early/mid 90's w/ few fellow fbody/stang buds...we would consistantly run 2-3 tenths better at Atco compared to Englishtown...I mean like clock work. Also alot of the local guys on the boards had similar experiences...I though it was due the Atco's prep being better or the higher volume of racers at Etown. I heard a few years back Etown redid there surfaces. Guys that race both now do you still notice this ?

its not due to prep or high volume, but rather elevation and air density. atco is at or below sea level, englishtown is about 3-400' above, island is at 540'.
Some people say maple grove is a fast track bc of all the trees and more oxygen in the air, i haven't been there enough to see for sure.

You would really need to look at the time slips and see where your picking up the time and also know what the weather conditions are. Physical elevation will effect how dense the air is just as the air temp can, baro pressure, humid. Fuel injection will compensate for some more then a carb'd car.
A racer like Mellisa would know based because she may change her delay at certain tracks. I drive a clutch, my RTs are all over the place! LOL!
But some general maybes,,,
Staging shallow, bad reaction time but a running start could imporve 60s and ET'
If same/like RTs at different tracks but better 60' = could be prep
Are you leaving at the same time (light on the tree) because rollout could have an effect as well concerning your running start.
Higher MPH = Could be due to shallow stage or better air.
Rule~of~thumb - what you do pickup/loose in the 60' doubles at the finish line. Pic up .1 in the 60 pics up .2 at the end.

Same DA and wind conditions etc, Maple is a bit slower than Raceway. Atco is quicker that either but the quickest is Cecil. Rollout is greater at Atco and Cecil plus the lower elevation. I have to adjust my lights for Atco and Cecil. Compaired to Maple and Racceway, Atco has .020 more rollout and Cecil (depending on where you stage has .020 to .040. I think Island is the same as the Grove and Raceway but need to do some testing there.
