NJMP Lightning: July 16th

Big track day at NJMP Lightning hosted by (non-sponsor), and it's on a Friday so likely attendance will be light. More seat time!

If you register via the link on ECS's page it's $299, versus $325 if you go straight to the organizer (Hooked On Driving). Price includes catered lunch.

300 is a very fair price for a track day. NJMP is a nice facility and 3 hours = 6 sessions 20-30 minutes. Not gonna find much better than that in my opinion. At the very least its the going rate.

Adding to the point, the cost per minute of seat time is favorable. Sitting in the pits staring at your navel between sessions is OK but not as fun as lapping.

And you make a good point about weeding out the bottom-feeders, they can really mess up a perfectly good track day.

Not to say well-monied types don't sometimes include a few jackasses that won't point-by but it's a decent tradeoff.
