Paint

My Fathers Monte Carlo was sitting out in the driveway for a year or so. And the paint is faded pretty bad and not smooth to the touch. It looks like a Jet back finish now on the hood roof and trunk. Is there any way to wax it or is the paint screwed? We used Turtle Wax clay bar kit and that did nothing.

Thanks
-Wes

there's no magic 1 step cure for faded paint

could try claying, compounding, polishing, and waxing it (in that order)

post pictures so we can see exactly what kind of correction is needed

Is it the stock paint? What year is the car? Like the other guys said pics would help...but it's sounding like it may be shot.
