i just wanted to get a shorter throw out of 5 speed. i came across 1 that im pretty sure will work i just wanted to see if you guys think its a good buy and is there anything better for my money, my price range is around 200 bucks

http://www.jegs.com/i/Hurst/530/391-5032/[Ljava.lang.String;%405f2196b7/-1?parentProductId=745815

the first link says:
"1983-92 Camaro/Firebird 5-Speed, V6 & V8. And 1993-01 Camaro/Firebird 5-Speed V6"

and the second one says:
"Hurst Short Shifter 83-02 Camaro Firebird T5 5 speed"

where is the confusion?

The ebay is cheaper, so go with that.

Even though its on eBay it's still a hurst shifter. You don't get a rep like they do without having a long history of quality products. Just my two cents about it.

Well, the aftermarket shifters come with a lengthy handle. So you would need to go with a "lou's short stick" or "Umi Short stick" along with the aftermarket shifter

i liked my old B&M ripper for a t5, and i like hurst on my SS(t56), i never liked the shifters that had the adjustable stops, and for that i stayed away from any of those types.

I know several people who ran the Pro 5.0 shifter on their 3.8 5 speed cars, and all were very pleased with it.
