93-97 lt1 exhausts interchangeable?

As the title says, I have a guy with a 94 trans am interested in my magnaflow cb on my 97 z. looking at the shbox diagrams they look a bit different. it gives the same part number for both vehicles on magnaflows website though ..... sooo ????

Only difference I know of is singl cat and dual cat.

My 95 is single cat but i believe the 96-97s are dual cats.

yesss that much i know, but would a cb made for mine fit a 94? i mean this magnaflow i got was orginally on an ls1....

I don't see why not. I mean the CB I have on mine came of a 97. the i pipe and all is still the same. its just the y thats different. Worst case scenario is he may have to cut or splice a piece of pipe depending on how long everything is. which is piece of cake for any muffler shop or for someone with a welder and knows how to weld.

it would be very simple to make it work, as stated its the cat/y-pipe setups that are different.

I know with some of the systems (Loud mouth comes to mind) there is an adapter. I think the single cat cars Y-pipe is slightly shorter? But I never realy swapped stock exhaust.

You may also need to look at the tail pipes. The T/As pipe are centered in the slots in the lower valance, the camaro uses those offset tips, so the pipes may not be properly centered?
