Wow, I think I just threw up a little. That is a terrifying.
After looking at it some more I am pretty sure the build must be some kind of joke.
Edit: Glad to see the body shop guys took care of that abortion.

It's ashame that half assing a rebuild, and using crap that's been laying in your garage for 35 years is something this guy thinks is okay to do. I believe the weight of the car has doubled due to the gallons of Bondo he used, and I can just imagine how all that'll look when he first hits a bad pot hole or bump in the road.

Fortunately the shop he took it to seems to have removed or redone most / all of the "repair work" that the owner did in the first place.

Vin, you know as well as I do that bondo ends up in all kinds of places it shouldn't. If there's a spot on a car, chances are somebody, somewhere has bondo'd it.

Ha that's pretty bad. Although you should see the Firebird I have in the shop right now. It's a 68 that was in another shop for 7 years being worked on. Poor owner got tired of waiting and pulled it out only to find that the guy hack jobbed all of the new panels and patches. I'm spent the last 3 weeks cutting all of his new sheet metal off and doing it correctly. I also have to cut out all of the "patches" the guy put in because all he did was weld a piece of new sheet metal right over the rotted out holes. What a disaster.

What were some of those patches made out of , aluminum foil covered in a heaping coat of bondo ...oh and don't forget the rust preventative paint for good measure haha. What a joke.

while i try to never discourage anyone from trying anything, you should know when you're in over your head. sometimes it's best left to the professionals.
