First day at the track results!
Hey guys,
So today I raced my car for the first time at Mason-Dixon dragway in Maryland. I got 15+ passes in (surprised my car held together haha). The majority of the day I was running 13.9s-14s, but this was my best pass of the day:
R/T: .639
60: 2.20
330: 5.871
1/8: 8.867
MPH: 82.46
1000: 11.414
1/4: 13.575
MPH: 100.89
My top MPH of the day was 103.73...What do you guys think? I was running street tires on 18" C5 rims. I'm not overly happy with my 60' times...I wasn't spinning at all. It seemed to bog a little every run (the track was actually hooking really well). My car is a 96 Trans Am with some basic bolts on. Overall I had an absolute blast and was pretty happy with a 13.5. Surprised I didn't break something with doing 15+ burnouts in a day

Not too bad for your first day, if it hooks really well you might want to give it more gas out of the hole to get that 60' down to a 2.0.

Yeah for some reason I couldn't find the sweet spot between bogging/spinning. Think I can get my ET down a good amount if I get my 60' better!

Basic rule of thumb says that if you got that 60' down to a 2.0, you would be running 13.1s

I'm really surprised 13.1s are reachable...I didn't think my car would be able to run those times with my mods. I'm really disappointed I didn't get my 60' down more though. Absolutely dying to go back now! haha

I ran a 13.7 on 10 year old tires and I don't even have headers my 3rd time racing the car. And I'm a full weight automatic convertible. It's very feasible for you.
