It has begun !

Just the begining of my Heads/Cam set up

Well i just picked up a legit set of 243 heads of a 03' zo6 vette for an awesome price 200$

They cleaned up very well. I am going to get them check and milled since the only history i know on the vette is that cylinder 8 had a connecting rod that bent and it had 35000miles. No piston to valve contact from what i can see, going to get the seats re-done and debating on new vavles but that will be left on the machine shop. Me and my buddy i work with will be doing some mild porting work to them.

Where do you guys in north jersey recommend getting them miled and checked? i work in morristown, so anywhere between or around morristown to mawah.

Is it worth upgrading those springs and keepers to aftermarket if i plan on going with a TSP v2.
Not familiar what is stock on those heads

I have been mainly seeing these heads go for 400$ up so can i assume i got a good price ?

The stock yellow springs are rated at 0.550" max lift....so unless you want bad things to happen, its worth upgrading. I think PAC singles are compatible with the stock seats and retainers if you want to re-use them.

Yes, sounds like you got a great deal on those heads.
