Allstar Transmission Specialists right in Haledon, ask Keith (creeper) about them, I know he had his 6speed rebuilt there. My dad has been there too and got great results.

I think it may have been 69novaguy who actually tried to steer me away from there hahah, but my transmission from them is working pretty well so I wouldn't hesitate to bring another trans there at this point

Feather-light suspension, Konis just couldn't hold. I'm so glad I took a look inside your showroom doors.

Do not go to Allstar.

Brought them my RX7 to rebuild the 5-speed. Got it back shifted great, was driving for about 15 minutes and then it stalled at a light 2 minutes from home. What was the problem? No antifreeze, fried the engine. Funny antifreeze has nothing to do with the trans and there was no engine issues when it was dropped off.

Had them build a 700r4 for my Nova. I told them the engine has 500hp/500tq. He tells me, they'll put the good stuff in it, no problem. I got my Camaro and decided to put it in that and get another trans for my Nova. It blew 15 minutes after putting it in, the Camaro only had 350hp/300tq. That trans should have been more than enough.

My brother had his S-10 rear fixed there. I borrowed it the day he got it back to drive to my parents and never made it, the rear started whining extremely loud. Got it towed the rest of the way, had my father pop the cover off to see what went wrong, there was no fluid ever put in it. When my brother called, they asked why I didnt check the fluid before I drove it? REALLY!

My wife's cousin has a 12 second Monte that he built a trans for. He popped it at the track and texted me what happened. I asked where he got it done and he told me Allstar. I told him to stay away, he said his dad is friends with the guy and his dad wants to use him. He is on his fourth rebuild in 2 years.

Sorry for the novel, I didn't hear stories about them I have dealt with them and I am glad I found my new guy. Cheaper, quicker turn around and will go above and beyond to make sure I get everything I want and need.
