Tire/Rim Width Question
I need new tires and I'm having difficulty finding something that fits a 14" front and 15" rear. I found a set of vette rims 17" front and rear, 245/45/17 fronts and 274/40/17 rears. Will they rub on a 95 formula? I have air shocks in the rear.

What do you mean 14" and 15" rear?

Get rid of those air shocks. The shock mounts are not made to take any weight- like air shocks will force them to do. I have owned two cars with damaged shock mounts from this.

I would go by model year at either tire rack or like the below to see what is compatable in a non-modified wheel well.

the vette rims/tires from 97-04 for sure will fit your lt1 but would put stock or equivalent rear shocks in it.

Can't take the air shocks out yet. The rear tires rub pretty badly without them. Previous owner neglected the car because he didn't have money, he took rims/tires and the air shocks off another one of his cars to make them fit.
Tiger Paws just aren't at all good tires and I'm going to melt the rears down and then switch my rims and tires since I can't find a good tire for a 14" front and 15" rear rim setup.

I don't even think a 14" wheel would fit over the stock brakes on a 4th gen. I'm surprised you even got 15's on there, since they came with a minimum 16x8" wheel from the factory.

I suspect he's got some crazy offset to make 14"s work.

lt1 cars have smaller brake setups don't they?
this whole thread makes no sense. zraffz what size tires on this car now? I suspect it has stupid air shocks because it has like a 27" tall tire or something. it's time to fix it right the first time. unlike the goofy previous owner.
edit: if this car needs those air shocks to fit that nonsense under there something is wrong.

The front are 215 50 14 (I believe I'd have to double check though) and the rears are 245 60 (or 65) 15. The tires are physically 2.5-3" taller than whatever is on my brother's Z28.
Their is some insane offset on the tires, the rear actually stick out about an inch out of the fender. They did rub badly, I can see wear marks where the lip of the fender was interfering with the tire.
The picture doesn't do justice to the rear tires, they are way bigger than they look. They are 27" tall in the rear lol... owner was a tool.
Think I want these:
They are 17x9's front and rear. Then I want 245/45/17's up front and 275/40/17's in the rear.

I agree 100%. Those are probably 215/60/14 and 245/60/15. 1982 called, they want their wheels and air shocks back.

Holy crap, air shocks? 14's? Man, LT1 cars are officially the new third gens.
If you are rubbing, you either have the wrong tires, busted springs, or broken suspension components.
I would invest in suspension parts before putting wheels/tires on it, but after looking at those pics with the outlaws, I would try to find a set of OE wheels and tires to hold you off while you address the suspension issues first, unless you have the funds to do both at the same time.
Friends don't let friends use air shocks.

Dude, he's hitting the quarter panel lip because the guy before him stuck those eyesores on the car.
Get the vette rims and the tires you listed and don't look back. After that, lose the air shocks.

Oh yeah, and in the meantime it looks like you are missing a lugnut or lug on the rear wheel.

I'm aware. Those lug nuts recess into the rim and I'm not going to go buy a new set just to switch the rims in a few weeks.
Getting a good deal on the ZO6 rims if he still has them Sunday night (going on vacation tonight). I didn't know they even made Tiger Paws still, wonder how old they are lol.
