car trailer questions

What size trailer would fit a thirdgen/fourthgen? Is there any way I could store it with a car on top(the thirdgen)? Could it fit in a garage? I'll measure the garage when I get home. Does anyone pay for storage? How much is it a month? Where do you keep it?

Edit after countless searches I know 18x8 will work, I'm hoping something a little smaller would work as well..

16 foot is the shortest you would want to use... it wont fit in a normal single car garage opening, and yes you can keep the car on it

you also have to make sure the garage is deep enough... and if you plan on keeping the car on top, tall enough

And don’t forget to factor in the tongue of the trailer, an 16’ trailer is more like 20’ - 21’ total length.

The 16' boat I just bought has a custom trailer and it measures out to 19' 11" and my garage is 20' so it clears by 1". I actually have to move the tongue to the side because the door handle will hit it. I have 8' wide door openings and the wheels/tires have about 3" of clearance on either side. So measure closely and don't forget about clearing the door like mentioned.

Yeah, I know about that, I'm more concerned about width and height. I don't want my house to look like a trailer park and keep it outside but sadly I think we are almost there

Storage units are cheap. (Espically compared to a trailer)

Usually you can get the first & second month free and then you will be somewhere around $50/month for a 10x20 unit. Guess it depends on how long you are going to need to store it.

We pay $160/month for a 10x20 up here! It was pretty much the same price in Forked River when I looked into renting one to put both my skis in.
